Uninsulated or improperly insulated components are a major source of hidden energy loss in steam systems—especially at valves, flanges, and other complex surfaces where traditional insulation falls short or is removed and never replaced.
This session explores how removable, reusable insulation solutions help reduce thermal losses, improve safety, and maintain system efficiency in real operating conditions. You’ll learn how properly designed insulation blankets support ongoing maintenance needs while delivering consistent energy savings, even in demanding environments.
Key Takeaways:
• Where the most significant heat losses occur (beyond standard piping)
• How uninsulated surfaces impact efficiency, safety, and ambient conditions
• Why removable insulation outperforms traditional approaches in service-heavy areas
• Design considerations that ensure proper fit, durability, and performance
• Additional benefits including noise reduction, freeze protection, and environmental resistance
• How insulation supports long-term energy savings and system reliability
